Beginning Glass Soldering with Christi

This class is 4 hours long and can be scheduled if you have 2 or more people.

***if you have a soldering iron please bring it***

In this class Christi will teach you the basics of art preparation, copper foiling, and the tips and techniques to solder your own glass charms.  You will also learn how to attach jump rings to your charm and how to solder jump rings closed for secure findings on all your creations. Each student will make 3 charms sizes 1x1, 1x3, & 1 1/2x 1 1/2.  Please have your two sided art work completed prior to class...if you have questions on this please see Christi.

Beginning Watercolor with Sue Whitten

This is a 6week course (no dates scheduled at this time but you can call to get on our list and we will notify you when the next class is scheduled)

Thursdays from 6-10pm for 6 weeks

$108 + $25 supply fee

If you have ever wanted to learn how to water color paint, then take lessons from the best!  Sue Schongar Whitten is a nationally recognized artist whom specializes in watercolor painting.  Her students testify that she is "THE BEST".  Many of Sue's students have gone on to become professional artists.

Once you finish with your 6 week class...Sue offers an on-going watercolor studio, where students can get on-going help with their paintings.  Takes place on the 2nd & 4th Fridays from 6-8pm and the fee is $18 per session.  Limited to 6 students.


Resin Basics #3-Mold Making Materials & Techniques

This is a 3 hour class and can be scheduled if you have 2 or more people.

$55 +$20 supply fee

***students need NOT have taken Classes 1 & 2***

There are several mold making materials for creating your own custom molds for casting resin.  Learning how to make your own molds will give you the freedom to cast all types of dimensional products.  We will be using 2 types of mald making materials:  silicone putty and liquid silicone rubber.  If cared for properly, these molds can be used over and over again.

Bring items you would like to cast...brass stampings, buttons, beads.  Start with a simple shape with less detail to insure success.

**We will be using a low odor resin, if you're extremely sesitive to fumes, it's suggested that you bring a mask.


Copper Covered Journal

Cost is $75 and includes all supplies

Christi will schedule this class anytime with you if you have 2 or more people.  You will need to plan for 5 hours.

Come join Christi as she will show you how to chemically etch copper.  You will use your etched pieces as the front and back covers of your own handstitched journal.  We will assemble papers into signatures and then handstitch them into a fantabulous journal.

The Luscious Layers of Collage w/ Christi

This is a 3 hour class and can be scheduled if you have 2 or more people.

In this fast paced class...Christi will help you get over your inhibitions in regards to collage.  Learn quick and easy techniques for layering and adding depth to your pieces...while marrying them into a cohesive composition!  No experience necessary!!  Includes ALL supplies!!!

Magical Mica Book with Christi

this is a 4-5 hour class and can be scheduled for 2 or more people.

This is a class to get your creative juices flowing.  Each student will construct a book made out of mica pages...Students will then make the book into a pendant, and will embellish and decorate a chain to hang their pendant from.

If you have special photos or stickers you would like to use, please feel free to bring them, otherwise you may choose from Christi's collection of supplies.


Cha-Cha Bracelet w/ Lori

This is a 3 hour class.  You can schedule it with Lori if you have 2 or more people.

Class fee $35 + $15 kit fee

Have you been wanting to venture into the world of Seed Beads, but didn't know where to start?  Then this is the class for you.  Weave seed beads and your favorite glass beads into a colorful bracelet loaded with texture.  Make your chunky or petite...either way you'll love stepping out in your new Cha-Cha bracelet.

 

Please bring any jewelry tools you may have.  We do have tools to share in class.


Wonky Ware Pottery Workshop w/ Sue

This is a 2 part class with 3 hours scheduled for each time(one time for making pottery, the 2nd time for glazing of fired bisque).  Sue will schedule this class if you have 2 or more people.

Cost is $50 + $25 supply fee

Spend a fun day with Sue as she teaches you how to make your own version of Wonky Ware Pottery.  On the first day of class students will roll out and form their own pieces.  Then on the 2nd day they will glaze their pieces for a final firing.


"Serendipitous Scepter" with Christi

This is a 6 hour classand can be scheduled with Christi if you have 2 or more people.

Class Fee $75 (includes all supplies)

Please bring a lunch and a soldering iron if you have one

In this class you will practice glass cutting techniques, copperfoiling, soldering of a round object, you will learn how to solder glass to non-glass items, and you will also work on collage and composition techniques.  Each student will leave with a beautifully serendipitous and royal scepter

Beginning Beading with Lori

This is a 2 hour class that Lori will schedule for you if you have 2 or more people interested in participating.

$25 +$10 kit fee

This is where it all begins Learn the language and mechanics of jewelry making.  The basic loop and wrap wire-wrapping technique covered enables making earring dangles, and bracelet/necklace links.  Students will make a bracelet and a pair of earrings.

Please bring any jewelry tools you may have.  Tools will be available to share in class.


Beginning Wirework with Lori

This is a 2 hour class that Lori will schedule for you if you have 2 or more people interested in participating.

$25 + $10 kit fee

Learn basic wire working techniques and all the tricks for perfect, plain and wire wrapped loops, spirals, simple bails, and clasps.  You'll learn about the kinds of wire wrapping tools and wire.  The techniques taught will allow you to crete charms, links to string together, and the strongest clasp to finish a bracelet or necklace.  We will also make jump rings, hammer metal, and make spirals to help you crete unique one-of-a- kind jewelry.

Please bring any jewelry tools you have.  There will be limited tools to share in class.


Beaded Watch Band with Lori

This is a 2 hour class that can be scheduled if you have 2 or more people interested in participating.

 

Make an ordinary watch extraordinary by learning how to make a beaded watch band.  You will learn how to do a single strand watch band using a variety of beads.  Once you learn this technique, you'll be making a watch for every outfit you own!

Please bring any jewelry tools you have.  A limited amount of tools will be available to share in class.


Cheeky Corsets w/ Christi-

This is a 3-4 hour class and can be scheduled if you have 2 or more people.

 

Come make these fun and "cheeky" corsets using a paper mache mannequin.  Class fee includes all supplies and the mannequin.  A fun class for any level of artista!


Krazy for Kumihimo w/ Lori

This ancient Japanese braiding technique is done on a special loom (provided in your class kit).  The braid is luxurious and the look of the braid is delicate, but secure to hold any type of pendant.  Kumihimo is a wonderful way to showcase special fibers, seed beads, and fire-polished glass can add sparkle.  Lori will show you how to make an attractive cord for any type of necklace or even a bracelet.  The trick will be how to stop making them after your learn how easy and addictive they can be.  The possibilities are endless!


Mixed-Media Necklace w/Christi

In this fun and fast paced class, Christi will teach you how to combine elements from old or broken jewelry with modern findings, beads, found objects, and scrapbooking elements to create a funtastic one-of-a-kind necklace. 

Students are welcome to bring any special old jewelry bits, scrapbooking elements, or other ephemera/found objects that have special meaning to them and that they would like to incorporate into their necklace.

If you have jewlery tools and pliers please bring them.  Christi will have tools for everyone to share.


Button N Charms Chain Bracelet w/ Lori

This class is 4 hours long and can be scheduled if you have 2 or more people.

Kit Fee is an additional $30

We all have tons of buttons, and we never know how we're going to put them to use.  Learn how to turn buttons into charms-we'll explore numerous techniques.  The bracelet wouldn't be complete without a few resin charms for added flair.  Using this versatile material, we will showcase your favorite images, beads, and other small treasures into ready-made bezels. Students will complete resin charms in class which will cure at home.


Rosary Making Class with Christi

This class is 4 hours long and can be scheduled if you have 2 or more people.

Class Fee includes all supplies

In this class Christi will give you the history of Rosaries and will teach you how to make each of the chain links that constitute a religious rosary.  Students will then use iconic imagery to create their own religious pendant.

If you have a religious image that you would like to use please bring it...otherwise Christi will have a variety to choose from.  Also please bring any jewelry making tools and pliers that you might have.  There will be a few available for sharing at the class.


Romantic Memory Wire Necklace w/Lori

Memory wire is one of the easiest and most versatile beading mediums to use.  For this class we will be using Necklace Memory Wire-but the technique can also be used with Bracelet Memory Wire.  The base of the necklace will be covered in seed beads and fire-polished glass.  Cascades of bead and crystal strands will dangle from the base of the necklace.  Not only is this a great class to introduce you to memory wire, but we'll also be doing basic wire-work techniques to create the strands.  This is a simple and easy idea for those last minute Christmas gifts!

Beginning Glass Fusing with Lori-803

Beginning Lampwork Beads

 

 

Class Fee:  $125  (includes all equipment, gasses, safety goggles, and glass)

 

Join Tammera for a lovely afternoon chocked full of glass bead making skills.  Students will learn about all the tools and equipment to make glass beads, the proper and safe way to handle and use all tools, and the steps involved in making beautiful glass beads.  Students will also learn how to make stringers, twisted stringers, dots, and will learn how to add these embellishments to their beads!

 

No experience necessary.  Please wear long sleeve shirts, hair restraints, and closed toe shoes.
